Josiah Wenrich is the Assistant Children’s Pastor at Celebration. Josiah was born and raised a pastor’s kid and has had a deep love for the Lord and for ministry his whole life. He has served as both a children and youth leader and has volunteered to work with kids through Special Olympics.
Josiah is currently attending the PennDel School of Ministry to obtain his ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God. He will be a certified minister in the Summer of 2021.
He is passionate about God, peanut butter ice cream and Notre Dame football. He also enjoys studying the Bible, river surfing, being with friends & family, hiking and tech decking (because he’s really good at it). However, in his spare time, you will most often find him searching the Susquehanna for the perfect river wave, which he is certain exists.
Josiah’s deepest desire is to honor the Lord in all that he does and pursue Him first. He aims to create an environment that kids will enter and leave knowing first, that they are loved; second, that they know God and how to have strong, healthy relationships with friends; and third, that they develop a heart to show Jesus to others.
One verse that has strongly guided Josiah’s life is Isaiah 6:8, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord. He said, “Who will I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am, send me!” Josiah believes that if he keeps his heart and life in a position to always be willing to say, “Here I am, send me!” He will have lived a God honoring, satisfying life.
